We have the honor and pleasure to welcome you on the official website of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Turkmenistan.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Turkmenistan (CCIRom-Tkm) is a non-governmental organization of public utility, autonomous and apolitical, founded in 2009 to promote the economic cooperation between Romania, Turkmenistan and other countries from Central Asia region.
This approach was made to create an online platform which provide a constant flow of news, analysis and expertise to the well-informed audience which is interested in geopolitical and economic developments in Central Asia – a dynamic region with a natural, human and strategic resource potential, still untapped at the level of the Euro-Atlantic states.
This initiative comes in 2017, when Romania celebrated a quarter of a century since the establishment of diplomatic relations with Turkmenistan and other Central Asian states.
The relations with the states from this region have been characterized by a broad political and economic dialogue in various areas of interest, as well as, an intensification of economic, cultural and scientific ties.
In the age of mass communication, characterized by an unprecedented constant flow of information, supported by fast speed of propagation, the success of the mission assumed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Turkmenistan, to promote economic cooperation between Bucharest and Central Asian states in the context of the EU Strategy for Central Asia can only be achieved by generating connections and synergies between all public and private actors with an interest in this region.
In order to achieve this, it is necessary to create a network of experts, based on inter-and multidisciplinary knowledge and dialogue.
At the same time, our organization is willing to cooperate with organizations, institutions and think tanks from other countries and we also hope that through the online approach will generate interest in conferences, seminars and workshops in the real life, thus animating the exchange of ideas and experience between top experts, businessmen, diplomats and academics, interested in linking Central Asia to the Romanian and European public agenda.
For this purpose, the new Center for Strategic and Competitive Analysis (CSCA) was established as a young, dynamic and growing structure.
Formed in 2017, under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Turkmenistan umbrella, it quickly positioned itself as a research and study structure of geopolitical, economic and security aspects from Eastern European space, aiming to set up a platform for analysis, cultural diplomacy, consultancy and dialogue, between Europe and Central Asia countries.
MISSION AND OBJECTIVES
The team of researchers from the Center for Strategic and Competitive Analysis, aims to strengthen and develop the position of the institution, as a frame of reference at the national and international level in the analysis of geopolitical, economic and security issues from Eurasia.
In addition, the new Center aims to be involved in the development of new analysis concepts, critical thinking and security culture among civil society.
